Woodhall Spa
Nestled in pine woodlands and with dashes of Edwardian heritage, Woodhall Spa is the quintessential Lincolnshire village lying just outside Glen Lodge Country Park. Unusually for a small location, Woodhall Spa feature two renowned golf courses, of which Hotchkins is ranked in the world top 100 and in England’s top 10 courses list.
Local nostalgia
The village also enjoys a fascinating aviation heritage, once serving as RAF Woodhall Spa and with strong links to 617 Squadron – the ‘Dambusters’. The Squadron’s Officers’ Mess was located in Petwood House, which is set mere minutes from our lodges and is now open to the public as a memorabilia-packed hotel and bar.
Other village highlights include the wonderfully nostalgic Kinema in the Woods cinema, which dates back to 1922; Jubilee Park, with its outdoor heated swimming pool, the Cottage Museum and the annual Woodhall Spa 1940s Festival.
Historic Lincoln
This historic city is less than 40 minutes by car from Glen Lodge Country Park. As well as its stunning cathedral, the castle, medieval bishop’s palace and guildhall all jostle for architectural prominence, while the Museum of Lincolnshire Life, the Usher Gallery and The Collection provide a heady dose of culture.

The Wolds yield day trips and experiences of every kind, with nature reserves, steam railways, windmills, adventure parks, walking and cycle trails, bridal paths, castles, racecourses, motor circuits and country parks.
